A tertiary education financing digital platform has shown commitment to make higher education accessible to young Nigerians, reduce dropout rate, and boost human capital.
The platform, PressPayNg, has launched the third scheme of its tertiary education tuition scholarship programme to support undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Under the first and second phases, 46 students received support to study in universities, polytechnics and colleges of education.
To access the loan, students or their parents must have saved up to 50 per cent of the tuition.
In addition, philanthropists, corporate organisations and multilateral agencies can fund students through scholarships and grants.
Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Abiola Metilelu, reiterated the commitment of the company to empower students in their dreams to commence and complete their tertiary education.
Since 2021, PressPayNg has reached and on-boarded over 60,000 students and parents by providing opportunities to secure and creative funding solutions for education.
In addition, PressPayNg also offer solutions to students, such as health insurance, in partnership with over 3,000 hospitals through a Health Management Organisation, student holiday jobs and free softskills training in partnership with leading brands like FCMB, Mutual Benefit Insurance, Cornerstone Insurance, Sunu Health, and Metro Health.
