The Plateau State Police Command has arrested seven suspects in the aftermath of the killing of a market security guard, Muhammed Kabiru, in Jos.
Spokesman of the Command, Alfred Alabo, told The Nation: “Those suspects have been arrested and are in for questioning. The DPO of the area has started working on the case.”
The guard was found dead in a section of the Jos Main Market in the early hours of Saturday.

Chairman of the market, Alhaji Jamilu Kabiru, told reporters that the deceased had been guarding the market for 15 years.
Another security guard, Suleiman Wizi, 25, who worked at New Market in Jos North council of the state, was also reported killed on Monday night by suspected armed robbers.
The robbers killed Suleiman as he patrolled the market, and broke into three shops, stealing an undisclosed sum of money, it was said.
