Police in Ondo State have arrested a 22-year-old man identified as Muyiwa for allegedly killing his stepdaughter, Seyifunmi Oluwarotimi.
The incident happened in Akungba, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
Sources said it was the mother of the child that raised the alarm after finding injuries on her daughter.
According to a source, “Both the wife and husband are living together. The husband was said to have taken Seyifunmi outside the house around 2am on Thursday to urinate.

“He has been doing that always just to avoid bed-wetting. When he returned with his step daughter that night, his wife raised alarm after she saw wounds all over her daughter’s body.
“Suspicion aroused when the husband couldn’t give an account of what happened to Seyifunmi”.
The child said to have been rushed to a hospital where she was confirmed dead.
Ondo police spokesperson, SP Funmilayo Odunlami, who confirmed the incident said investigation has commenced.
