Fast-rising film producer and filmmaker, Ojo Hopkins Osahon has finally concluded plans to host a musical and movie concert in preparation for the release of the film, Gbege (The Omodion Saga).
The film, which was directed by Lancelot Imasuen and produced by Osahon’s Ojeki Integrated Service company portrays the rich culture of the Benin people and also addresses the issues of cultural preservation so as to avoid it going into extinction.
The film, The Nation was informed, is set for premiere in Benin city on October 6 with the Gbege Movie Concert.
The concert, Osahon noted, will feature an array of A-list cast from the film that include Broda Shaggy, Ini Edo, Mercy Aigbe, Sam Dede and a host of others.
The Lagos and Port Harcourt premieres will be held on September 28 and October 1 respectively before eventual cinema release.
