Dubai based Nigerian digital innovations and tech expert Tonye Anyanwu popularly known as ‘The Crypto Genie’ has announced his appointment to the position of Special Advisor to the Presidency of Central African Republic on Crypto and digital Innovation in the Presidency at the Government of Central African Republic.
In a recent post via his Instagram page @tonyeanyanwu he posted a picture of himself with Minister Pascal Bida Koyagbele, the Minister of Strategic Investments and Major Works in the Central African Republic with the caption below announcing his position, “I’m happy to share my position as Special Advisor to the Presidency of Central African Republic on Crypto and Innovation at the Government of Central African Republic! It might have been a rather late share, but better late than never.”
In a telephone chat the Minister of State for Strategic Investments and Major Works, Pascal Bida Koyagbele, who informed Tonye of the appointment expressed his complete trust in Anyanwu’s competence and reiterated his hope that this appointment will bring great innovations to the digital space of the Central African Republic.
Anyanwu who confirmed the appointment and stated that the position authorized him to immediately take full control of the digital economic vision of the Central African Republic.
He went further to add that his office will oversee the creation and management of all digital assets, blockchain infrastructure creation and create a unified records system for all public offices and entities. “My office will also be in charge of cyber security as well as the management of digital finance and digital currency creation for C.A.R”, Anyanwu stated.
“I am grateful for the opportunity given to me by the President of C.A.R and the minister, and I promise to execute all responsibilities diligently. And even though this appointment was made months ago, I could share it with the public because certain details of the appointment needed to be finalized”, Tonye said.
