Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) is set to unveil a new national coach to replace the void left by Sri Lankan, Asanka Gurursinha who resigned earlier in April.
President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, Uyi Akpata, gave the hint at the ICC U-19 WCQ in Abuja last weekend, saying that the paper works for his resumption of his role in Nigeria are being finalized.
“We should have a substantive Coach for the national team very soon” he said.

However, Tikolo whose last job was coaching the Tanzania national team, is expected to resume in Nigeria before the end of October and already has his job cut out for him as he may be in charge of the country’s senior men’s team to the T20 World Cup Qualifier in less than a month after resumption.
Tikolo comes with a pedigree of being perhaps the greatest Cricketer that Kenya has produced and as a former captain of his country’s team, he has also coached Uganda before his sojourn in Tanzania.
