The immediate past Chairman of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, has called on the security agencies in the state to fish out the killers of two chieftains of the party in the state and prosecute them accordingly.
Nwoye, who is also the convener of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign, Enugu State Chapter, made the call at a prayer session for the repose of the souls of the two APC youth leaders , Lucky Idoko and Ugwuoke Victor, who were gruesomely murdered by yet to identified gunmen at different locations in Igboeze South Local Government Area of Enugu State, penultimate weekend.
The APC chieftain, who could not control his emotions during the mourning of the late youth leaders, regretted that the recent incident had brought to four, the number of APC youths that have been sent to their untimely grave in the state.
He called on security agencies to rise up to the occasion and unravel the perpetrators.
Nwoye also recalled how an attempted assassination on his life was made in 2018 at his Enugu residence by yet to be identified hoodlums who invaded his residence in the early hours of the fateful day, expressing gratitude to God for surviving the attempted assassination.
He urged the party faithful not to be deterred by what he described as a bad air blowing in the Enugu APC, stressing that political party ought to be all about fraternity and relationship and not killing of members.

Nwoye, who is also a Federal Commissioner representing Southeast in the FCCP, encouraged members of the party not to abandon the families of the deceased, urging them to always visit their loved ones they left behind.
He, however, appealed to politicians in the state to eschew politics of bitterness, saying shedding of human blood in the name of politics remains an evil act that its perpetrators will definitely face judgment before God.
The APC stalwart, who used the prayer session to inaugurate some support groups for the APC presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, such as the Asiwaju Women Cooperative Society; APC Youth Taskforce for Tinubu; the Jagaban Coalition, among others, said they resolved to hold the inauguration in a low key because they were still mourning the demise of the youths, adding that they had planned an elaborate event before the unfortunate incident.
“I want to use this medium to call on Enugu and Southeast electorate to embrace the APC presidential hopeful, Ahmed Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election because of his antecedents and his capacity to turn the country positively if given the mandate.
“APC has youth supporters in all 260 political wards of the state who are not social media supporters. We planned an elaborate inauguration but unfortunately, we lost two of our vibrant youth leaders who are also members of the Tinubu/Shettima presidential campaign organisation, he stated.
