Firm retools skills of public, private teachers

Over two thousand public and private school teachers have benefited from  an academic empowerment seminar in Lagos.

Teachers learnt new and modern teaching techniques to benefit their pupils.

Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Noodles, organised the seminar in line with its commitment to provide sound and quality education to children.

The teachers commended the organisers for making education a part of it’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Group Corporate Communications & Events Manager, Mr Tope Ashiwaju, said most of the company’s activities were centred on children and partners, such as teachers.

Prof. Sunday Adeyemo, Head, Department of Science Education, University of Lagos, a facilitator, said teachers should explore avenues for capacity building.

He noted that capacity building would increase knowledge and self-confidence, and improve both pupil and teacher productivity.

National Coordinator of Indomie Fan Club (IFC), Mrs Faith Joshua, noted: “Education is the most powerful weapon in effecting positive change in the world and will remain the bedrock of human capital development across civilisations…” she said.
