The Omaluegwuoku Progressive Initiative (OPI) the umbrella body of Igbo Kwenu 4 Asiwaju has inaugurated its think tank executives in Abuja.

The event which held at the Transcorp Hilton, was graced by notable sons and daughters of Igbo extraction.

The first female presidential aspirant of the APC and Vice Chairman of the PCC, Barr. Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, was on ground to give her support.

She assured the President and Convener of the OPI, Amb. Hon. Ginika Tor, of her unalloyed support towards the realization of the success of the objectives of the group.

Barr. Uju lauded the effort of the Initiative and described it as selfless, ingenuous and commendable.

“It is a notable mark that you have made and I am very proud of you”, she said.

Speaking on the inauguration, the Secretary of the Group, Dr. Emmanuel Ogbonna, described the drive of the group as a force to be reckoned with in this political dispensation.

He said they have recorded tremendous successes so far and support both from notable Igbo sons, institutions and individuals.

He also pointed out that the OPI has made in- roads in its drive towards promoting the candidacy of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima.

He said many people were joining the train and giving their support in different forms.

Highlight of the occasion was the inauguration of the Group’s think tank performed by Amb. Hon. Ginika Tor.

She charged the members by motivating them to work assiduously and tirelessly towards reaching their goal.

She thanked them for availing themselves to be used in the capacity.

She said their contributions will not be in vain or taken for granted.

The son of the Presidential candidate of the APC, Seyi Tinubu, also graced the meeting.

He was very elated with the progress of work on ground and promised support.
