Nigeria Mining Cadastre Office, under Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, has sensitised stakeholders on adoption of Electronic Mining Cadastre System (eMC+).
Director General and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Mining Cadastre Office, Obadiah Nkom, said the system would cater for mineral title administration from application submission to payment of fees, granting (refusing) and issuance of certificate.
Nkom, who spoke at an event in Ibadan, Oyo State, noted that there had been efforts to computerise the office.

Commissioner for Environment, Abiodun Oni, hailed the initiative, saying it would enhance the mining cadastre processes.
Oni, who represented Governor Seyi Makinde, urged stakeholders to take advantage of the programme, stressing it would benefit the mining sector.
President of Geological Society of Africa, Prof. Olugbenga Okunlola, said the computerisation would open the space for mining to enter into the global arena.
