Academy ‘to lift creative industry’

The Del-York Creative Academy has reiterated its commitment to developing Africa’s creative industry.

According to its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Linus Idahosa, this informed the training of more than 3,000 interns.

In a statement, he noted that the institution was dedicated to providing film and media, on-campus and virtual, training programmes for participants to have  real-world experience.

He said the academy would create  economic wealth  and promote  women in animation and other specialised areas of the movie industry.

According to him, the academy was in the forefront of  digitisation process with its standard facilities and had trained participants to be pacesetters in the  creative industry.

He said the academy partnered Lagos State to establish Lagos Film City.

The academy is also in collaboration with New York Film Academy and University of Southern California.
