FRANCIS Abiodun Wilkey has been installed 10th president of Ikeja Unique Lions Club under District 404 B2. at NECA House in Ikeja .
Chairman of the investiture planning and fund-raising committee, Stephen Onojomete, said the ceremony signified the continuity of legacies started over a century ago by the founder and his associates to provide succour and help to the needy.
District Governor, Aare Lekan Owolabi, urged the president and his members to redefine service to improve their environment and create values for members.
Wilkey promising the club would become bigger and stronger, said: “I am honoured and assure all that the club under my watch would be bigger, stronger and united with greater vision for greater service delivery.”
Speaking on projects for 2022/2023 service year, Wilkey said the club considered critical projects to cushion the suffering of individuals and communities.
“To achieve these projects, the financial implications is in the tune of N32.5 million.
“We shall be grateful for your donations for the betterment and alleviation of poverty in our society,” he said.
