A new newsmagazine, reporting the exploits of Nigerians in the diaspora, debuts on November 4.  It is called The Elegantz, and it will be unveiled in Texas, USA.

“We are not re-writing the Nigerian story in America,” Kayode Toriola, publisher of The Elegantz gushed, “but we’ll faithfully document how Nigerians here are changing the Nigerian story in America from drugs and wire fraud, to thriving and clean ventures, across many sectors.  We will be the proud vehicle to transmit these new glorious stories to our people at home.”

He said gone were the days when the Nigerian was defined by high wire frauds, drugs and allied crimes.  Now, he added, Nigerians robbed shoulders with the best of America, across all races, to build legitimate and successful businesses.

The Elegantz, Toriola pledged, “would track the lives of these patriotic and hardworking Nigerians, across America’s many sectors: company and allied news as well as product promotions; then individual landmarks like weddings, christenings, birthdays, funerals, college graduations, etc.

The magazine will also report what these Nigerians eat, the clothes they wear, the churches and mosques where they worship, and schools they attend, the music they play and dance to, the sports and recreation they engage in — thus focusing on the impact of Nigerians on cuisine, sports, fashion and style, education, music and faith matters, across all sectors, in America.

“Our initial studies show that our people at home are very interested in such news at home.  So, The Elegantz would be happy to channel of these exciting news to our people in Nigeria.  It promises to be an exciting time!”
