But those close to him averred that he is a man who does not joke with his family most especially his wives. More reason when one of his wives, Bukonla Taibat Obasa glides into age 40 on Wednesday, October 19, the speaker didn’t fail to celebrate her to the high heavens by calling praise singers to sing her praises and also painting his Joel Ogunnaike, Ikeja GRA residence red to ensure she had a befitting celebration.

The celebrant, who is a known businesswoman, was in an elated mood as top politicians within the Lagos state political circle gathered to celebrate with her as she ensured her guest were feted to the very best of local dishes and high-cost drinks. The well-planned garden party had in attendance Fuji maestro K1 the Ulitmate on the bandstand who sang the praises of guests. The host, Mr. Speaker moved around to ensure his guest were properly taken care of as he showed his romantic side with his wife. Obasa also displayed that he is not just a politician of high repute but also a very good host as those who attended got all that they wanted at the snap of their fingers.
On November 11, Mr. Speaker would also glide into the golden age of 50. As the day draws nearer, several plans are already in place to make the day a grand one as sources say invitations are silently being shared with top guests to celebrate Obasa at 50. There would also be a novelty match with members of the Lagos House of Assembly as part of activities building up to the birthday.
