The Executive Secretary of Pension Transition Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), Dr. Chioma Ejikeme, has said the directorate is ready for the full rollout of application of ‘I AM ALIVE’ to all its pensioners.

Ejikeme announced this at the ‘I AM ALIVE’ confirmation training programme for union executives and pension desk officers yesterday in Abuja.

The PTAD boss said the directorate had earlier launched the programme with a successful completion of its pilot programme.

She said the pilot programme, which was intended to test the applicability, ease of usage and user adaptation of the solution, ended successfully.

Ejikeme said PTAD was ready for the full rollout of the application to all its pensioners.

The directorate had earlier indicated intention to train the union executives and pension desk officers on the use of the application, which is a critical step towards preparing pensioners to be fully conversant with the use of the application.

“We believe that once the union executives and Pension Desk Officers (PDOs) can confidently use the application, they can support the directorate’s effort to educate pensioners and provide guidance and hand holding, where necessary, for them to easily carry out their ‘I AM ALIVE’ confirmation.

“The training programme taking place this week is for primary purpose: to ensure that our union executives and pension desk officers can use this ‘I AM ALIVE’ confirmation solution without any difficulty; that they can assist our pensioners in understanding how to use the application, and can respond to basic enquires and questions about the confirmation process,” Ejikeme said.

The executive secretary stressed that the training had been organised to first give an understanding of why they are deploying ‘I AM ALIVE’; what they expect as the impact; the benefits to be derived; and what they see as likely challenges.
