No fewer than ten persons have been reported killed following renewed communal strife between Okpobula, Ezza, community in the Apa Ward of Ado Local Government Area of Benue State and Uffiom in neighbouring Ebonyi State.
The two border communities have been at dagger drawn over piece of land for more than 20 years.
The Nation gathered that the renewed crisis was as result of alleged encroachment on a disputed piece land by alleged militia from Uffiom, Ebonyi State.
Ten persons were reportedly killed and many others injured.
According to source, the fighting started Tuesday morning and lasted till Wednesday.
But because of the poor terrain and bad road network, security men could not reach the area on time.
The Chairman of Ado LGA, Chief James Oche confirmed the crisis.
Senator Abba Moro decried the incessant attacks on the community.
In a statement by his Special Assistant on New Media, Eche-Ofun John, Moro charged security agents to go after the perpetrators of the heinous crime and bring them to book.
Police Spokesperson Kate Anene said she was yet to get the report on the crisis .
