The Ndi’igbo Independent Campaign Group (NICG) for the All Progressive Congress party (APC) has promised to deliver massive votes for the APC candidates in the 2023 election.

The Coordinator and secretary of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Lagos state, Robert Obase spoke at a sensitisation programme in Festac, Lagos.

The programme was organised to identify with the host community and ensure that the Igbos in the LGA are mobilised to vote for the APC.

“Lagos has been so kind to Ndigbo; they have given our daughters, especially in Amuwo Odofin, an office of the vice chairmen. To reciprocate their gesture, we decided to organise this campaign to ensure that our people vote wisely for APC during the forthcoming election,” he said.

He appealed to follow the Igbos to vote for APC. This is where we make money and that is why we want to cherish it and preserve it,” he said.

He noted that the presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, if elected will expand the country’s economic situation.

He said: “It is a ripe mango that people throw stones on, the moment you’re out to do the right thing or the moment you’re popular, people will want to dig out information to weigh you down but that’s not the main issue. We are talking about who is able to govern Nigeria and all the candidates both Tinubu and the rest are qualified to govern, what is important is who is going to lead Nigeria to the promised land as soon as possible so that’s what we are considering.”

Chairman of the Amuwo-Odofin Valentine Buraimo lauded the initiative of the group and reiterated his commitment to ensuring adequate hospitality to Igbos in the council.

He urged Nigerians to ‘carefully analyse’ candidates of all parties and ensure they vote for the right leaders.
