The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, has said the Nigerian military intends to sustain its onslaught against bandits, Boko Haram and other criminals.
He said the ongoing action by the military has yielded the relative calm and peace the country is enjoying.
The COAS also said the military was recording immense successes and was being encouraged by the support it get from President Muhammadu Buhari and other stakeholders to work harder.

Yahaya spoke at the graduation lecture of Course 6/2022 of the Nigerian Army War College of Nigeria yesterday in Abuja.
He said: “A lot has been achieved and is manifested in the relative calm and peace that is beginning to come and improve. We are not relenting in our onslaught against terrorists in the Northeast and other criminals bandits, kidnappers and other criminals across the nation.
“Be it in the Northeast, Northwest and Northcentral and all across; in all these, we are doing immensely with other services, talking about Nigerian Navy, Air Force and other security agents and stakeholders. We are not relenting but encouraged by the support we get and encouragement from all these we have mentioned.”
