A Lagos-based businessman, Adefemi Sodiq, has appealed to the authorities to save him and his family from threats by strange persons, who have twice abducted him.

Speaking with reporters, the 42-year-old man said he had not been able to live in one location for too long with his family “following visits by these strange people I believe were behind my abduction twice within two months.”

He said he had to flee his known address with his wife and children after they were kidnapped for the second time by the same group and they paid heavy ransom before they were released.

Sodiq said he was first abducted alone and his friends paid for his release. “But my captors came back two weeks later and kidnapped me, my wife and three children.”

He said after his second abduction, it took him about three months before he was released.
