The National Leader, Third Phase Ex-agitators under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Comrade Tonye Bobo, has commended the Interim Administrator of PAP, Major General Barry Ndiomu (rtd.), for getting rid of the massive payroll fraud in the scheme.
Comrade Bobo, who made the commendation in a statement on Friday, described Ndiomu as a brilliant ex-general, astute administrator and lawyer who had brought his knowledge and wealth of experience to bear on the Amnesty Programme.
He noted that the PAP boss was able to take the bull by the horn by blocking the corrupt practices in the Amnesty Office that led to the discovery of payroll fraud in the programme.
Bobo said without equivocation that Ndiomu had done the right things to ensure that it was no longer business as usual in repositioning the PAP to its core mandate of reintegrating the ex-agitators.
Bobo also lauded the National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno (rtd), for the successful inauguration of Ndiomu as the Chairman of 11-man Special Investigative Panel on Oil Theft.
He expressed joy over Ndiomu’s appointment, saying the appointment was well deserved due to his antecedents, track record of service and ability to streamline the activities of PAP.
In similar vein, Comrade Bobo, who doubles as the Director of Mobilisation of the PAP Strategic Communication Committee and leader of the Verification Team of delisted delegates comprising Bayelsa, Delta, Edo and Ondo states, said the exercise was a huge success.
He said the results were there for all to see, stressing that delegates were now being carried along in the scheme of things and were now getting a better sense of belonging in the programme.
Bobo said: “Ndiomu means well for the people of the Niger Delta region and cannot do anything otherwise to pull back the hands of the clock.”
