Erling Haaland went to Manchester City’s partner hospital in Barcelona for tests on the groin injury that saw him withdraw from international duty this week. In an update on Haaland’s injury, the striker’s father Alfie has told Norwegian TV that his son is currently in Marbella with a City physio, and is ‘touch and go’ for the Blues’ Premier League clash with Liverpool next weekend.
Haaland picked up the injury in the FA Cup win over Burnley at the weekend, where he was replaced after 62 minutes having scored another hat-trick. He linked up with the Norway squad, but withdrew at the start of the week after tests showed the issue with his groin.
Now, Alfie Haaland has confirmed his son then went to Barcelona for tests, before going to his holiday home in Marbella to rest and recuperate.
Speaking to TV2, Alfie said: “Manchester City has a partnership with a hospital in Barcelona so he has been there for further checks and treatment.
