Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in appointing Julian Nagelsmann as their new manager. Antonio Conte has a contract with Spurs until the end of the season, but speculation over his future has heightened in recent days.

The Italian launched a scathing attack on his “selfish” players following last Saturday’s 3-3 draw against Southampton at St Mary’s Stadium.

Spurs boasted a 3-1 lead after 74 minutes, but conceded two goals in the closing stages, sparking an angry response from Conte.

The fiery press conference has reportedly led to some members of the first team asking for Conte to be relieved of his duties.

Another report has suggested that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will sack the 53-year-old during the current international break.

There is an expectation that first-team coach Ryan Mason could lead the team on a temporary basis until the end of the season.
