The North Central Women Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Princess Zahrah Mustapha Audu, has appealed to Governors-elect from her zone to appoint more women into their cabinets.

This, she said, would help make up for the poor representation of women in elective positions in the just-concluded general elections.

Her appeal which was contained in a statement by her media office in Abuja argued that this gesture will go a long way toward gender inclusivity in governance.

The Women leader commended Kwara Governor, Abdulrazaq Abdulrahman, for supporting five House of Assembly female candidates from the primaries to the general elections.

They were all successfully elected on the platform of the APC into the Kwara Assembly.

She urged North Central Governors-elect to include more women in significant positions in their cabinet.

Mustapha reminded all elected officials of the sacrifices women made with little or no support in many instances during the campaigns.

She further stressed that the women had paid their dues and they must be rewarded in kind.
