Club hails oil mogul for philanthropic gesture

Chief Pius Akinyelure

The President of Club 66, Idanre, Dr. Anthony Omolola, has hailed oil mogul Chief Pius Akinyelure for his philanthropic gesture in Idanre.

Omolola, who expressed appreciation about the interventions of the former executive director of Mobil, aimed at ensuring development was brought to the community, thanked him for his intervention in the rehabilitation of deplorable roads at Alade market and communities in Idanre.

He said the roads were well tarred with asphalt and equipped with road furniture.

Omolola, who noted that Alade market had been in existence for between 400-500 years and had attracted traders from within and outside the country, said the roads had been in a deplorable state until Akinyelure’s intervention.

He said the club appreciated the kind gesture and urged people to pray for the man God had used to bring positive development to the community.

Omolola appealed to people to ensure the infrastructure was kept in a good condition, saying practices such as burning things on the road should be avoided.
