Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi has congratulated Muslim faithful in the state and across the world, on the 2023 Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
This is contained in a statement by Mr Chooks Oko, Special Assistant to the governor, Media and Strategy on Friday in Abakaliki.
Umahi, who paid glowing tributes to Muslims for their prayers for the peace and unity of the country under President Muhammadu Buhari, congratulated them on the successful conclusion of their Ramadan fast.

“On-behalf of my family, our government and the good people of Ebonyi , I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters on the successful completion of their Ramadan fast and subsequent Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.
“While reminding the Muslim brothers on the true essence of the festivity which calls for piety, I enjoin them to also use the opportunity of the celebration to pray fervently for the continued peace and unity of the country, going into the next dispensation.
“We, however, urge them to intercede on behalf of our nation, for continuous peace and stability, especially now that we are getting closer to the end of the current administration.
“I congratulate President Buhari, the first family and all Muslims on the remarkable celebration.
