After a nine-year-hiatus from the screens, the seasoned broadcaster, actress, and public relations cum management expert, is set to unveil her many months of low-profile yet hard work.
The philanthropist and red-carpet host is set to launch a new project, ‘Layole’s Lounge’.
The new project is a fashion and lifestyle show scheduled for debut on May 6 on leading cable TV, DStv.
The daughter of late veteran broadcaster Walter Oyatogun, who made her mark on different television houses including Silverbird TV and MiTV, aims at laundering Nigeria’s image to the rest of the world while countering the negative impression held about Nigerians in Western countries.
The delectable Layole hinted to those in the know that her new project has been in the works for the past 10 years and is set to become a reality in May 2023.
“Layole’s Lounge’ is something that I thought about, dreamt about and I have actualised it. The essence of this show is to change the perception of people about Nigeria. Nigeria is not just about fraud. There is much more to us. So, I decided to do a show about the most stylish African stars, not just Nigerian stars,” she told friends and associates.
The graduate of Mass Communication from the University of Lagos started her career co-presenting with her younger sister Mofe Oyatogun on MiTV.
Unknown to many, Layole’s PR and management coy, LOPR, represents Nigerian celebs that include Iyabo Ojo, Priscy Ojo, Segun Olusemo aka Sheggz and many others.
