Tinubu condole with Gwadabe, Dantata families

Speaker of House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, yesterday led a delegation to Kano State, to visit families of Alhaji Musa Gwadabe and business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, to condole with them on their losses.

Gwadabe, a longstanding political associate of Tinubu, died on Wednesday, while Dantata lost his wife, Hajiya Rabi, on April 9.

Others on the delegation were Minister of Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare; former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu; Special Assistant to President-elect on Media and Publicity, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, and Bello Malabu.

At the Gwadabe’s compound, Gbajabiamila said Tinubu values the relationship which existed between him and the deceased, and would have wanted to visit personally, but for exigencies of the moment.

He described the late Gwadabe as ‘a forthright progressive politician and honourable man who supported the president-elect all through’.

Addressing Dantata, the Speaker said the pains of losing a life partner could only be relieved by memories of the exemplary life the deceased lived.

While praying for souls of the deceased persons, Gbajabiamila called on the families to immortalise their loved ones by emulating their values.

Dantata and Gwadabe thanked the delegation and Tinubu for the visit, and prayed for success of the incoming administration.
