Meanwhile, LASTMA and the Lagos State Police Command, weekend, agreed to strengthen partnership on traffic management in the state.

Oreagba said this after a meeting with the Commissioner for Police, Idowu Owohunwa at LASTMA’s  Headquarters in Oshodi.

Road users, he said, would be most beneficiaries of the partnership in the area of

efficient and effective traffic management, checking excesses of recalcitrant drivers, particularly among commercial bus drivers.

CP Owohunwa hailed the Lagos State Government for establishing the agency, adding that the presence of LASTMA officers at different choke points managing and controlling traffic has made security job easier for policemen.

Encouraging LASTMA officials not to be discouraged in spite of provocations, the CP gave assurances of a structure that would be a bridge for both agencies of government.
