Tinubu ‘ll fulfill campaign promises – Emokpaire

Chairman/Convener of Progressives’ Solidarity for Asiwaju (PSA), Chief Ibrahim Emokpaire, has assured Nigerians President-elect, Bola Tinubu, will fulfill promises made during his campaign.

Emokpaire, in a statement by  Director of Press & Publicity, Ayodele Ariyo, advised Tinubu subsidy removal should be done on a reductive scale, over three to six months, so it won’t bring hardship on Nigerians.

“It will be necessary to have the removal on a step by step system so the effect will not be too sudden. The multiple foreign exchange rate in place should be collapsed, we should have one exchange rate to sustain economic growth.”

Emokpaire describedTinubu as ‘a progressive to the core, with technical know-how’.

“One thing you can’t take away from Tinubu is the ability to see through visions he earmarked for himself and the country, and I have no doubt  he will not entertain any distraction by focusing on things he would do in his first 100days in office.”

He advised that the President-elect should do what was done in England when they had economic crisis in 2009, they had to bring in a Canadian financial wizard to head Bank of England & he fixed their economy for them, “so I believe Mr President-elect will be looking at having an expert even coming around if not as head or at least as major adviser in our Central Bank and I believe we are in for economic rebounds…

“Asiwaju Tinubu will be building on what Muhammadu Buhari has done & will set a milestone impact to run on the economy and other areas in his manifesto.”
