The Police Command in Kano State has confirmed the alleged murder of a woman, Jummai, by her teenage son, Iro Kwarangwal.
Spokesman for the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, confirmed that the teenager allegedly stabbed his mother to death.
The incident occurred at Rimin Kebe Quarters, around 5:30pm on Wednesday, a neighbour, Muhammad Abdu, told the News Agency of Nigeria.
“I was standing in front of my house when I heard screaming from the deceased’s house.
“Upon rushing into the house, we found that the deceased was stabbed severally with knife and screaming for help,” he said.
He said the suspect fled the scene shortly after he allegedly committed the crime, adding that the woman was rushed to the hospital where a doctor confirmed her dead.
