South Africa U17 national team head coach, Duncan Crowie, has admitted that Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets would be difficult to bet when they both clash tomorrow in the last group B tie of the on-going Algeria 2023 U17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Crowie noted that Nigeria was very unfortunate not to have converted the numerous chances they created against Morocco , adding the Amajimbos won’t take the Golden Eaglets lightly in the group’s decider.

He asserted that Nigeria will be more difficult to play after the defeat to Morocco and he expects his team to aim for at least a draw in the game, which will see them scale through to the quarter – finals.

“Nigeria was very unfortunate not get a goal against Morocco. They are a quality team. So, it is going to be very tough game,” Duncan Crowie said. “I will analyse deeply how Nigeria played in their last two games and plan on how to play against them.

“We hope to get at least a draw from the game against Nigeria,” he said.

South Africa defeated Zambia 3-2 Wednesday’s night after the loss of Golden Eaglets 1-0 to Morocco.

But Golden Eaglets coach Nduka Ugbade is upbeat that his wards can scale the hurdle against the South Africans.

“We must be more efficient with the chances we have. We will try to look for some different ways tactically to impact the outcome of the game. We have a chance, but also, that chance can fade away. We have to work hard,” Ugbade noted.

Going into the Group B decider , both teams are on three points but the Golden Eaglets are above based on superior goals
