Kids in Alagbole/Akute, an Ogun State suburb were all smiles and in joyful mood when celebrity Hypeman and CEO of Chopilos restaurant, Jerry Shaffer’s Chopilos for All foundation celebrated children’s day in their neighborhood.
The famous hypeman and entertainment executive played host to over 100 kids who benefited from the show of love and compassion. Kids were nicely treated to a sumptuous meal courtesy of his Chopilos restaurant.
Shaffer also gave out gifts including customized Chopilos T-shirt, books and school bags.
“We are a foundation aimed at nourishing and supporting our communities, it is well known to everybody that hunger kills more than even Aids and even some deadly diseases in the world and this is just our own means of giving back to the community. Free meals for everybody; it’s called ‘Chopilos for All’”, said Jerry Shaffer while speaking on the outreach.

“I grew up in Alagbole as a child so its juts me coming back to my hood and I am happy with some developments but a whole lot still needs to be done. Today, we are focusing on children, trying to put smiles on their faces and as you can see they are happy because it feels good to be celebrated, we pray that our government and everybody would do more to make things better for the people.
“We need well-meaning individuals to be inspired by what we are doing to be also be able to give back to the community because we can only build it ourselves.”
“This is our maiden edition actually and we are happy about the turn out, the aim is to move from community to community mostly to mark memorable days so we are also going to reach out to mothers on Mother’s Day, orphans, people suffering from sickle cell and the rest. It’s just going to be an event that will pop up to mark memorable days and make people smile.”
