The Peak Performing (TPP) Woman of the Year 2023 is set to honour 100 women setting trends in various African industries at its debut.

The event holds on Friday, June 23 at the Muson Centre in Lagos with dignitaries such as Global Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, Folake Ani-Mumuney, media mogul Mo Abudu, movie director Bolanle Austen Peters, and the Publisher of Today’s Woman, Adesuwa Onyenokwe amongst others.

It comprises a summit, exhibition & awards from dawn to dusk on the theme “Embracing Equity for a more sustainable future.”

According to the Convener, Dr. Abiola Salami, the initiative became necessary as the post-pandemic world requires a new level of action.

He said:  “The World Economic Forum and the Oliver Wyman Forum report that women have been struck by the harsh conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, causing them to adapt to new realities.”

These new realities, Salami added, require a new level of commitment to engaging, empowering, and recognizing women, especially those that are blazing the trail and setting new records.

He further described The Peak Performing Women Project as the vehicle for driving a renewed commitment to empowering, engaging, and recognizing women in their quest for delivering excellence in a post-pandemic world based on Goal 5 of the Sustainable Development Goals.
