Police announce rescue of abducted Chinese national in Abia

The Police Command in Abia has announced the rescue by a team of security agents of a Chinese national abducted in the state.

The command Public Relations Officer, ASP Maureen Chinaka, said that the Chinese national, Mr Li Peiyin, abducted on May 31, “was rescued by a joint security team in good condition on Monday”.

Peiyin who was the site Manager of a quarry in Lokpanta, Umunneochi Local Government Area, was

driving in a Caterpillar without security escort when he was abducted.

Chinaka said that the joint security team had sustained manhunt for the abductors.
