Obaseki can’t be blackmailed, intimidated by any group, says CoS

Obaseki

Osaigbovo Iyoha, the Chief of Staff to Edo Governor Godwin Obaseki, has stated that his principal cannot be blackmailed or intimidated by any group.

He noted that Obaseki’s administration had vowed to end cultism and cult-related activities in all parts of Edo.

Iyoha, while reacting to viral audio attacks on him and the clampdown on suspected cultists in their hideouts in Edo, stated that with the support from security agencies, cultism would become history in the state.

He assured that the strategy being deployed would be extended to tertiary institutions in Edo.

The chief of staff said: “Those attacking me are the ones trying to hide, and they are becoming tired of hiding, because they can no longer be accommodated by their benefactors.

“We learnt that they (the cultists) killed somebody again on Tuesday night, but that will not deter us. We are going to flush them out this time, we are ready to confront them.

“I am personally involved in it. We already have a team that understands these cultists, and they have also resolved that they are taking their hands off cultism.

“Edo State government is coming after you, if you are a killer, cultist, and you do not want to stop the activities.”

Iyoha also stated that the persons who were ready to quit cultism would be profiled and their biometrics taken, to ensure peace in Edo.
