The Isabor family in Orhiomwon Local Government Area, Edo State has called on the Federal Government to help locate the whereabouts of their missing son, Anthony Isabor, in Belgium.
Anthony had left for Belgium with one of their cousin sisters on March 5, 2015 and since then, nobody has heard from him, the immediate family claimed.
In a letter addressed to the immediate past Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, titled “Letter of personal and urgent attention”, the family urged the government to help them locate their son.
According to the letter, which was signed by Sunday Isabor, the younger brother to the missing man, the said cousin sister had not been helpful on the issue.
Sunday, in the letter dated September 22, 2022, is suspecting a case of trafficking. He therefore called on the Minister of foreign Affairs to help the family locate the whereabouts of his brother.
The letter reads: “I, Sunday Joseph Isabor, write to you sir for your personal and urgent intervention and assistance in the case of my brother, Anthony Isabor.

“Please sir, I need you to step into this matter. My cousin sister took my brother out of the country since March 5, 2015. Till date, eight years and seven months this September, my family hasn’t heard from my brother.
“He has remained incommunicado for eight years and seven months now.
“She took along with my brother two girls who happen to be her immediate elder sister’s daughters.
“Sir, if we call her to ask and inquire about my brother, she will be dribbling us.
“After the conversation, she will programme and blacklist your number i.e. anybody that calls her as regards my brother’s whereabouts.
“This is what has been happening in the past 8 years and seven months.
“Sir, I’ve written and reported this case to the Belgium Embassy in Abuja on Thursday, March 10th 2022. This year, without any update or notification from them, I also wrote a letter of update on Tuesday August 9th 2022 to the same Belgium Embassy with my brother’s picture attached to it.
“Sir, till this moment, there is no update or notification from them on this issue. Sir, this is a trafficking related case.
“I am passionately and fervently appealing to you to please expedite action on this issue with urgency. I am also appealing and imploring you to please give this issue all the gravitas it deserves.
“She has caused my family pain, subjected my family to mental torture, crushed our spirits and tormented our souls. She has broken our hearts and wounded our soul.
“My mum is nursing high blood pressure (HBP) due to my brother’s absence for eight years and seven months.”
When The Nation called the cousin sister via WhatsApp, she neither picked nor responded to the WhatsApp message sent to her.
However, the said lady’s niece picked her call after our reporter sent a WhatsApp message to her, but said she did not know any Anyhony Isabor.
“Sorry, it is a wrong number. I don’t know anybody bearing that name,” she said.
