Mukaram declares for Reps, wants to build on Gbajabiamila’s success

Former executive director of Surulere Sports Development Centre, Hon. Akorede Adedolapo Mukaram, has announced his intention to run for the Surulere Federal Constituency 1 seat at the Federal House of Representatives.

The bye-election to fill the seat vacated by former Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajamiala, comes up on August 19, 2023. 

Speaking at an interactive session with journalists in Surulere, Mukaram said: “Service to humanity has always been my passion. I always want to see everyone around me do well. My passion for the people of Surulere is what is fueling my ambition to contest for the Federal House of Representatives.”

A committed grassroots mobiliser, Mukaram contested for the chairmanship seat of Surulere Local Government Area (LGA) in 2011 and 2021. He was also the Executive Director of the Surulere Sports Development Center.

“My interaction with the grassroots puts me in a good position for this office. I know their needs and what is needed to make my people smile”

Mukaram promised to build on the achievements of his leader, Hon. Gbajabiamila.
