Member representing Badagry Federal Constituency, Lagos State, at the national assembly, Hon. Prince Sesi Oluwaseun Whingan has called on the management of the Lagos State University, (LASU) and Lagos State University of Education (LASUED) on jobs opportunity and admission to Badagry indigenes of Lagos State.
Whingan who made this appeal when he paid a courtesy visit to the management of LASU and LASUED, said the visit was to familiarize himself with the universities’ authorities on ways Badagry indigenes could gain employment and admission in both universities.
Whingan who was in the company of the Federal Character Commissioner representing Lagos State, Abdulwasiu Bawa-Allah, thanked the Vice Chancellors and managements of both Universities for taking the Badagry and other Lagos State indigenes into consideration, saying he is in the national assembly to give his people quality representation.
While promising to do everything he could to help both Universities get the federal government’s attention, Whingan appealed to the institutions to create more jobs and admission for his people, saying he was impressed with the percentage of non-academic jobs given to Badagry indigenes, saying that same jobs be extended to academics as well.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Admin, Prof. Adenike Boyo, thanked Whingan for this visit and establishing this mutual relationship that will benefit both parties, pointing out that Badagry constituency has benefited much in terms of non-academic jobs and student admission at LASU.
Also responding during the visit to the Lagos State University of Education (LASUED, Oto-Ijanikin), the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Biliki Lafiaji-Okunneye described Whingan as a competent lawmaker with qualities of a good leader, appealing that the school will need his assistance in reaching out to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) in some of their demands as a lawmaker.
The LASU and LASUED Vice Chancellors, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello and Prof. Biliki Lafiaji-Okunneye had expressed satisfaction, having a young man, brilliant, smart, and responsive national assembly member representing Badagry Federal Constituency in the new administration President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Whingan had earlier in the company of APC chieftains, Elder Avigbe Joshua, Hon. Prince Wale Adesina, and Hon. Dansu Dominic paid a visit to His Royal Highness, Oloto of Oto-Awori, Oba Josiah Olanrewaju Aina in his palace.
