Afenifere’s ex-secretary general Pa Arogbofa loses wife

Rretired educationist, Chief (Mrs.) Elizabeth Arogbofa (nee Dare), who passed on recently after a brief illness, will be buried on August 11. 

She died at the age of 77.

Mrs. Arogbofa hailed from Oka-Akoko in Ondo State. 

She was the wife of Chief Seinde Arogbofa, a renowned author and former secretary-general of Afenifere, a pan-Yoruba group.

A statement Arogbofa and Dare families said the funeral commendation service would hold on August 10 at Ebenezer African Church, Akure, Ondo, to be followed by a stop-over at the house of the Dare family at Iwaro, Oka-Akoko. 

The statement said a Christian wake would take place at the family house in Afulu, Oka-Akoko, Ondo State, beginning from 5pm, adding that funeral service would hold at St. Saviours African Church, Ikanmu, Oka-Akoko at 10am.

“This will be followed by interment on the church premises. Reception takes place at African Church Grammar School, Oka-Akoko.”
