Ex-convict shot dead while testing charm’s potency

A 27-year old man identified as Tunde Akinmoyewa has been shot dead by his friend, Bode, while testing the potency of a charm that could prevent any bullet from penetrating their body.

The incident occurred at Laosho camp, Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that Tunde was shot dead by his friend after both of them consumed the bullet-repelling charm prepared by a yet to be identified traditional healer.

Tunde was said to have told his friend to shoot him but the bullet penetrated his body and he died instantly.

Sources said the friend fled the scene before Tunde was rushed to the hospital where doctors confirmed him dead.

The sources said Tunde and his friend decided to test the charms to prepare themselves ahead of an upcoming festival in Ondo town.

The spokesman of Ondo State Police Command, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, a Superintendent of Police (SP), who confirmed the incident, said a locally made gun was used by Bode to kill Tunde.

She said efforts were being made by the command to get Bode arrested.
