A native doctor, Oyedunkun Adebare, arrested by the police at Zone Two command, for allegedly conspiring with an Islamic cleric, Afeez Uthman Imoleayo, to defraud a United States of America (US)-based Nigerian, Oluwasegun Animashaun, of over N105 million, has only given soaps, charms and other comctions to the Alfa on request.

Adebare, 64, said he did not know the people the cleric was giving them to and had no idea they were being used for evil.
Narrating how he met Alfa Imoleayo, the native doctor said the cleric sought him out over 15 years ago through an apprentice of his that had a customer who worshipped at the Alfa’s mosque at Ikorodu.
He said the space bus the cleric brought to him was from a customer, Bode, who he did spiritual work for and the person wanted to show appreciation.
“I’ve been working with him for like 15 years. There was one of my apprentices that goes to pray in their mosque, and that was how they knew each other. So he told my apprentice that he wants to be close to me, that he wants to learn some wisdom from me. “So, my apprentice brought him to me, and he asked me a lot of questions. He asked how to do certain work and I taught him. So whenever he has work, he comes to me for assistance and I always help him.
“I make soaps and other herbal concoctions in small rubbers, sometimes he comes and collects them from me but I don’t know the customers he gives them to but I make the soaps and give them to him. “So, that was how we became close. After that, he brought his younger brother that I should teach his younger brother. I accepted and taught his younger brother the work too, that was how the younger brother left too.
“After the younger brother left, I did not set my eyes on both of them again, and for like seven years I did not see them,” said Adebare.”
Continuing, the native doctor said he was surprised when the police came to his place, adding that he was later told that they were searching for Alfa’s younger brother to ask him some questions.
“I don’t know what is going on.
They met his younger brother that I taught work at my place because he came to visit me. That was how the police arrested all of us they met at my place.
“I never fought with him (Alfa). I just advised him that time was going and he was getting older that she should try and get married and have children.
“That was the advice I gave him. So, I don’t know if that was what made him angry and he stopped coming to my place. We did not dupe one another and I have never refused anything he asked me to do.
“When he brings work for me, I just do it and give it to him. I don’t know the people he gives it to. I did one work for him and about a year later, he said the people he has been giving my work to are doing well.
“He said one of them gave him a car, and he told the person that he cannot use the car because all the work he has been giving that person was done by Baba.
“He said the person was very happy because he was truthful. That was how they brought the car ( Space Wagon) to me. When he brought the car, I told him to help me call the person that bought the car for me so I can appreciate the person and he called the person.
“The name they called the person was Bode, because I have never met the person before.
“This is a very sad thing for me, I am very sad. I’ve been doing this work for 40 years and this kind of thing has never happened before.
“This experience has taught me to be careful because people are wicked. After all these things that have happened, I won’t give anybody my work again,” Adebare said.
