The Director, Social Media, Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, Dr. Olajide Atansuyi, has earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mass Communication from Babcock University, Ilisan Remo, Ogun State.
Atansuyi becomes the first Public Affairs officer in the state’s civil service to attain the feat. His thesis is entitled: Rhetorical Strategies, Ideology and Power Discourse Framing in Social Media Political Campaign Posts of Selected Presidential Candidates towards Nigeria’s 2023 Election.”

He started the programme in 2019.
Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Olumide Sogunle, said the feat not only shows Atansuyi’s commitment to scholarly excellence but also positions the state government in the forefront of cutting-edge communication strategies.
