A tribute by the family described the deceased as a remarkable woman whose life was characterised by dedication, compassion and faith.
Fondly called Sister, Madam Florence was born on December 26, 1942, to the late Pa. Imoisili Ihenyen and late Madam Teresa Ihenyen of Uhiele-Ekpoma, Esan-West Local Government of Edo State.

She started her education at St. Mary Primary School Uhiele-Ekpoma, St. Michael Modern College Irrua, Esan-Central, and proceeded to Sacred Heart College, Ubiaja, for her TC II.
After her TCII, she was employed by then Midwest Education Board to teach at St. Mary Primary School, Iruekpen, and later at Usugbenu Primary School, Irrua.
