The Chairman of Mushin Local Government, Emmanuel Bamigboye, has donated vehicles to Grand Chief Imam of Mushin; Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Mushin chapter, Chairman of Community Development Committee (CDC); market leaders and National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE).

The gesture, Bamigboye said,  would aid them in the smooth running of their various offices.

“The vehicles are necessity for them to carry out some of the official functions. Some of them are elderly. They attend meetings in the state. We don’t want a situation where they will be on okada (motor cycle) or looking for vehicle to convey them even when it’s rainy,” he said.

Bamgboye advised the leaders to ensure proper maintenance of the vehicle.

He said the council has done well in providing social amenities.

Grand Chief Imam Mushin, Sheikh Suleiman Olanijo, lauded the council chairman for his gestures towards the religious bodies and various leaders in the community.

He said the chairman always gave them listening ears in contributing to the progress of the council.

He pleaded with the council boss to create more job opportunities for graduates in the community.

According to him, religious leaders should be allowed to nominate people for job opportunities.

Chairman of CAN in Mushin, Primate Dare Akindele, said the chairman has done a lot to improve the standard living of Mushin residents.

“He has been upright and working assiduously to develop Mushin and we want him not to stop,” he said.

He enjoined residents to pay their taxes.

Community Development Council (CDC) Chairman, Otunba Femi Okuyemi, commended the council chief for his gesture

“This vehicle is really huge and I won’t have to be running after okada or tricycle before attending meetings as old as I am. I’m sincerely grateful,” he said.

He said since the establishment of the council, Bamigboye towers above his predecessors. “See how he has developed the council Secretariat and make it a beauty to behold. He also increases the number of offices for workers’ convenience,” he said. He urged Bamigboye not to rest on his oars.
