The lawmaker representing Sokoto North senatorial district at the Senate Aliyu Magatakrada Wamakko, has urged the residents of the state to provide security agencies with information about suspicious activities and criminal elements, aiming to eliminate crime from the state.
Wamakko emphasized that achieving freedom and peace throughout the state and country requires a collective embrace of security responsibilities by all.
He said: “Be vigilant and report any unfamiliar or strange movement to authorities concern for immediate action to forestall any negative eventuality.
“It’s time we should be active not see things go wrong and keep quiet or be adamant without action. This will continue to create more problems and challenges to us than solutions.

“This will also will drive operatives to be more tactically proactive towards curbing insecurity in the state.”
He made the call while condoling the families of four victims killed by bandits in Fanari town, Wamakko local government.
Those killed included Suleiman Liman, Abdullahi Magaji, Faruku Usaman, and Umaru Labbo Liman.
Lawali Labbo, the fifth victim currently undergoing a medical examination, was reportedly refueling at a petrol station on Fanari-Gumbi road when their assailants attacked them.
Expressing concern, the lawmaker emphasized that the perpetrators might be within the community, urging people to report them for necessary action.
Wamakko acknowledged the state government’s efforts in securing the state, emphasizing the APC-led government’s dedication to safeguarding lives and property.
He concluded with prayers for the souls of the deceased and strength for their families.
