Senator Yele Omogunwa has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in his Ward 1, Irele Lical Government Area of Ondo State.

He was received by the state party chairman, Ade Adetimehin, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim (Ondo South). Omogunwa once represented the South District in the Senate.
The ceremony was witnessed by many party members.
