Member representing Okitipupa Constituency I at Ondo State House of Assembly, Chris Ayebusiwa, has expressed grief over the death of a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and gubernatorial aspirant in Ondo State, Dr Paul Akintelure.
Dr. Akintelure who reportedly died in the wee hours of today was a medical practitioner, community leader and a politician of repute.
In a statement he personally signed and made public on his Facebook page, Chris Ayebusiwa described the late politician as a successful medical doctor who made outstanding contributions to the growth of the medical profession, his community and political circle.
The statement reads: “Dr Akintelure, in his lifetime, stood out as a remarkably successful Nigerian medical doctor who contributed outstandingly to the growth of the medical profession, his community, political circle, and humanity in general.
“Otunba’s philanthropic gestures and especial commitment to the educational pursuits of the less privileged around him, his sterling record of community service and evident love for Ondo State gave him out as a man with towering public spirit.”
Ayebusiwa who prayed that the bereaved family finds fortitude, described the death of Akintelure as one which has further dimished the league of core progressives in Ondo State.
