Lagos-based real estate firm, FAB Realty and Tourism, has hosted its first-ever Sell-A-Thon event with the theme; ‘Closing Deals Like a Pro’ in Lekki which presented opportunity for the firm to reward realtors.
The event attracted a large gathering of real estate and sales professionals who came to learn and connect with top industry leaders.
Sell-A-Thon featured distinguished speakers, including Damilare Oshokoya, Co-founder of Abode Assets; Simon Adozi, CEO of Adozilion Homes; and Dr. Israel Adekunle, MD of Evermark Group.
The experts delivered sessions on key areas of the real estate sector, such as closing deals with confidence, understanding effective negotiation tactics, streamlining the deal closing process, and building trust to enhance client satisfaction.
Chief host, Ayomikun Adebayo Oyetoro, CEO of FAB Realty, shared her personal journey of empowerment and motivated attendees to acquire the necessary knowledge to aim for excellence in the real estate industry.
“Since the beginning of my adulthood journey, I’ve always wanted to empower others. Even when I was a makeup artist, I was giving free classes to women to empower them to make their own money. Sell-A-Thon is my way of empowering realtors to do more for themselves,” she said.
During his session, Oshokoya hammered on the use of technology. He encouraged realtors to leverage social media platforms in driving sales and closing deals. He added that it was important to transact with clients in a way that shows trustworthiness.
“The first thing you must know as a key advantage for a realtor in this era is that you must have a trust capital, because we are now in a generation where buyers look beyond what is posted on Instagram,” he cautioned.
His submissions were re-echoed by Adozi and Dr. Adekunle, who both spoke on building trust, driving clients’ satisfaction, and navigating the deal closing process with confidence.

A major highlight of the event was the panel session, which featured five panelists who shared their real estate experiences with attendees.
The Sell-A-Thon was not only a platform for learning and networking but also featured the celebration of excellence and dedication of players within the sector.
Outstanding realtors were recognized and rewarded, with one Kofoworola Ologbe winning an all-expense-paid trip to South Africa. Alex Ibukun Osobu and Mrs. Adeyemi Palazo each received 648 square meters of land at Magboro Villa, while Cynthia Mbara and Betaman were each awarded 300 square meters of land at Freedom City Annex, Epe.
