The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has said it will resume the suspended livestock rail services from the northern region to the southern parts of the country by September this year.
The NRC Managing Director, Fidet Okhiria, who disclosed this on a live television station on Wednesday, said that the transportation of cows and goods would recommence via the Warri-Itakpe route.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had on Tuesday, announced the establishment of the ministry of livestock development.
The President also inaugurated the Renewed Hope Livestock Reform Implementation Committee (RHLRIC) at the State House, Abuja.
The NRC halted cattle transportation by train in 2017, due to technical issues.
