Falcons’ Echegini completes  witch to PSG

French D1 Arkema side,Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed the acquisition of Super Falcons midfielder, Jennifer Echegini.

Echegini signed a three-year contract with the Parisians.

NationSport recalls that the player announced her departure from Italian club, Juventus on Tuesday with an open letter to the club and the fans with emphasis from her to face a fresh challenge outside Italy.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals and made one assist in 16 appearances for Juventus last season.

 “I am experiencing a great moment in my career today. Signing for Paris Saint-Germain is a hugesource of pride. I am veryproud to join a club that is recognized around the world for its ambition and excellence,” Echegini told the club’s official website.

” I can’t wait to get started and I can’t wait to give the best of myself to try to win, with my teammates and for the supporters, as many trophies as possible. ”

Following the completion of her deal, PSG shared a video of Okocha welcoming her to the club.

Okocha is one of the biggest names that has ever come out of African football. He spent four years at PSG between 1998 and 2002, and he made 84 appearances for the club before joining Bolton Wanderers. The 50-year-old played for the Super Eagles for 13 years before retiring in 2006.

Ahead of  her career at PSG, Echegini  will be on international duty with Nigeria at the Paris 2024 Olympics.  

The Super Falcons set up camp in Sevilla, Spain last week ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games to be hosted in Paris, France.
